The process for Marriage Certificate Attestation depends upon the country for which you require attestation as the pre authentication, which is required prior to MEA Apostille or Attestation of Marriage Certificate, could be done from various government departments of India.
  • Step 1: State Home Department/ SDM/ Notary/ Mantralaya / HRD/ GAD attestation of Marriage Certificate from the respective state where the certificate is issued from;
  • Step 2: Attestation of Marriage Certificate or Apostille Stamp from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India. 
Step 3: After getting attested or authentication from State authority and from MEA, the marriage Certificate thus proceeds for the respective Embassy Legalization from the concerned Embassy. And in case of Apostille from MEA, Embassy legalization is not required.

  • Original Marriage Certificate
  • Passport copy of the applicant
  • Visa Copy
  • 2 passport size Photographs
  • Authorization letter
